Chef Jean Pierre Tardy is a Maitre Cuisiniere de France (www.mcf-usa.com). Only 250 chefs world wide are recognized by the French government for their culinary skills. In France, Jean Pierre had worked in restaurants since he was a young boy of 13, moving on to the next level of dining expertise as the opportunity arose. He gained prestige from working at Maxims, Le Grand Vefour and L'oustau de Baumaniere.

In America, Jean Pierre had worked at the renowned Le Bec Fin in Philadelphia for 7 years. In 1985, he left to open his own restaurant. Jean Pierre's restaurant had become a very popular and well known place in Newtown for 17 years before he sold it to new owners in November of 2002.

Chef Jean Pierre is also an executive chef for the catering department at McCaffrey Supermarkets (McCaffrey Supermarkets), a local high end market with three locations in Yardley, Princeton, and West Windsor New Jersey. He can provide wonderful food for parties large and small.  In addition he takes customers on "store tours" within the 3 supermarkets to show clients how to make proper selections for produce, seafood, and meats. Recipes and nutritional information are given as hand outs.  Normally accompanied by a dietician, these popular events are fun, informative and entertaining. Chef Jean Pierre does "Cooking with the Cardiologists" in association with St. Mary Hospital which is also sponsored by McCaffreys markets.
